Diane Balbi - Fiber Artist
 | I live in the quietness of the Selkirk Mountains of North Idaho, free from the busy city. This allows me to explore and imagine. I have a thirty-year background in garment making. I have been involved in cross-stitching, beading and quilting. I started needle felting in 2006 and have throughly fallen in love! I found needle felting allows my creative thoughts to appear before my eyes. Each tuft of wool has a form just waiting to show itself. I sculpt wool into felt with a felting needle using carded dyed wool. I use wool in as much of my creation as possible. All of my sculptures are born in a smoke free environment.
